What We Do

The Eleanor Harvey Nurses Society provides financial, emotional and social support to nurses in need.

We tailor the support to the individual needs of the nurse.

When a nurse needs help, we are here to provide that help in any way we can. We provide support that best suits the individual needs of nurses.

Financial Support

If you are unable to work because of illness or injury, we can help alleviate the financial strain of day-to-day living. We also provide financial support to nurses experiencing financial difficulty.

We can help with financial costs from paying rent and household bills to purchasing medical equipment.

All requests for financial support are assessed by our Committee on a case by case basis.

Emotional and Social Support

A nurse who experiences illness, injury or incapacitation can become isolated from friends and the community.Nurses who previously worked in a busy environment, surrounded by people can find themselves isolated at home or hospital.
